PortugueseCommentsi think this category should be split into Brazilian portuguese and portuguese from Portugal, since they're different from each other and it might not have the same comical effect, you know? >:
Portuguese is always portuguese from portugal. like the correct english is always the english form england.
I think he did it very well. But since you're from Portugal surely you know that even though they're the same language, there's visible difference between them. Such as slangs and the way we conjugate the verbs. We even name things differently :I I know it's not enough difference to treat them as different languages, but still, if they were really similar, companies wouldn't differentiate them. Sorry if my comment came out sounding rude, i was just trying to make a suggestion.
And there's no such thing as "correct" english or portuguese. Every language mutates and changes, so we might say that the correct english was the one from the year 927, when the kingdom of england was created. It's the same thing than saying Japanese is not correct and chinese is, because japanese mostly derived from chinese. yes true, but I think we diserv some votes from being the original, and when I mean the correct is that, for example, you are learning english in school: they teach you the british and tell you the diferences in american one, but is the british that is teached
but I think brasilian and portuguese are becoming more the same, they took out our c's like in facto" (as a fact) now it will be "fato" what is wierd because fato is a suit lol so "isso é um bom fato" we will be like whaat? fact or suit? O português brasileiro tem muitas diferenças (inclusive ¨fato¨, que você citou, ¨fato¨ não tem esse significado aqui, ¨suit¨ pode ser traduzido como vestimenta, roupa, etc), então, se alguém puder adaptar para o português brasileiro, seria bom dividir entre PT-BR e o Português original como ele disse. Porque do jeito que está acho que alguns brasileiros não irão entender algumas coisas, já que geralmente as diferenças entre as variações do português não são ensinadas nas escolas.
